Knödeling around

The first stage of my path was the info graphic ‘The Making of the Knödel’. It explained how the traditional dumpling is made, giving extra information about local and imported ingredients, and their total production in a year.




























Afterwards, the ‘Knödel Box’, a strongbox with a remade interior, focused on the costs that have to be afforded to prepare a generous dish of South Tyrollean dumplings, buying all the ingredients at the supermarket. The obtained price was compared with the ones of five different restaurants in Bolzano.














My interactive info graphic highlighted the ‘global links’, without which traditional recipes may not be made – they need global market to stay alive.
